What we collect, why we need it and what we never do with it — in plain English.

What we collect

  • Your name, your email address, and a phone number if you choose to give us one.
  • The delivery address you ask us to send your order to.
  • What you ordered, what you paid and when you paid it.

That's the lot. We only hold what you type in, and we don't build a profile of you.

Card payments

Payments are taken by Stripe. Your card details go straight to them and are never seen or stored by BRIM — all we see is whether the payment went through.

What we do with it

  • Take your payment and confirm your order.
  • Get your beanie made and delivered — your name and address go to the mill that knits it and to the courier that carries it.
  • Answer your emails, look into problems and handle returns.
  • Keep records we're required to keep for tax and accounting.

We never sell your details, and we don't use them to advertise to you.

Your basket and cookies

Your basket lives in your own browser, so it's still there when you come back — we don't keep a history of what you looked at. The service that hosts this store uses only the cookies it needs to serve the pages.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for six years, which is how long UK tax rules require. Anything else is deleted once it's no longer needed to run your order or answer your question.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email brimorders@gmail.com and we'll sort it. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
